HAND CARVED DRAGON SCULPTOR IN FOSSILIZED WALRUS IVORY SD 13  This is a beautiful  hand carved dragon sculptor mounted on a sura wood base from Bali with ruby's for eyes. The material used is fossil walrus tusk from St Lawrence Island, Alaska. The pieces of tusk were dug from the ground by Native American Yupik peoples on their lands during the artic summer and this material is 1000-2000 years old. These ancient materials have a range of colors that result from mineral absorption during the centuries they have been buried.
